Nvidia has reportedly cut the initial guarantee planned for an OpenAI data-centre project in Ohio to below $120 billion, from $250 billion previously discussed.
The figure is a guarantee, not a budget paid today. It helps developers and lenders believe future capacity has a solvent customer.
Reducing it does not automatically cancel the project, but changes who carries the risk and how much capital must appear elsewhere.
